Calling all members of the Indian community!
Have you ever felt like you don’t quite fit in? That you are caught between two cultures? Are you Indian but not entirely sure how to cook daal?
Well, let’s talk about it!
I’m Indian but… questions what it means to be Indian. Together, we will explore our experiences, insecurities and perceptions of what being Indian is really about!
Come and join us for weekly workshops at Signals, in Colchester, where you will have the opportunity to continue the conversation whilst crafting for our 2025 textiles exhibition. Of course, there will be plenty of creativity, confusion, chit-chat and chai!
Sign up now and join in the conversation! You never know…I might find a Hindi teacher – and you might find the perfect recipe for daal…
I’m Indian but… is part of the Peoples of Essex project run by Signals , made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Indian Dance Collective are taking over Bollywood Beats! Come and join us to enjoy a range of Indian dance styles and choreographies, taught by our fab Collective.
